Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Colville provides solid waste services across the North Slope of Alaska; we handle:

        • Municipal Solid Waste
        • Metal
        • Recyclables
        • Construction and Demolition
        • Oily Waste

As an operator of one of the largest public utility districts in the US, Colville provides compliant, end-to-end solid waste services for the North Slope, Dalton Highway, and remote Alaska. Our fleet includes 500+ roll-off dumpsters, six hook trucks, and 12 flatbed trailers, with streams covering construction & demolition (C&D), municipal solid waste (MSW), metals, oily waste, recyclables, and wood, plus rental bins and on-demand pickup/delivery. Service is structured around project cadence, bin placement near workfaces, same-day swaps where feasible, documented chain-of-custody, and coordination with site HSE to align segregation and backhaul plans.

The Western Region includes Kuparuk, Alpine, and NPR-A west to the Ikpikpuk River (up to 3 miles offshore). The Dalton Highway Region extends from Prudhoe Bay south to Atigun Pass, including the highway corridor (within 5 miles of the road), adjacent service roads and pump stations.

Bins and containers, including large roll-on/roll-off bins for Municipal Solid Waste and Construction Debris, are available with secure lids to prevent animal access or wind-blown scatter. Lined and unlined pallet boxes are available to handle the recycling of oily waste, kitchen grease, and paper products. Recyclables, with the exception of wood, are shipped to permitted facilities in Anchorage or outside of Alaska.
